What is Snoring Surgery?

Snoring surgery aims to reduce vibration and blockage in the upper airway. Gangnam ENT clinics offer procedures from 20-minute radiofrequency treatments to throat surgery under general anesthesia.

A sleep study and an endoscopic exam should come first, because surgery helps only when the blockage is in a fixable spot.

How it works

Nasal surgery straightens a deviated septum (septoplasty) or shrinks enlarged turbinates with radiofrequency to improve nasal airflow. Palate procedures stiffen the soft palate with radiofrequency or remove excess tissue, tonsils and part of the uvula (uvulopalatopharyngoplasty, UPPP). Sleep endoscopy under light sedation can show exactly where the airway collapses.

Will surgery stop my snoring for good?
