What is Sylfirm X?

Sylfirm X is a radiofrequency microneedling device made by Viol, a Korean company. Its pulsed wave mode delivers short bursts that target abnormal blood vessels under melasma and redness, while continuous wave mode heats the dermis for pores, texture and scars.

Dermatologists in Apgujeong use it mostly for stubborn melasma that keeps returning after laser toning, and for redness-prone skin that cannot tolerate strong lasers.

How it works

Fine insulated needles enter the skin to a set depth and release RF energy at the tips. In pulsed mode, the heat seals small vessels in the upper dermis that feed pigment cells; in continuous mode it remodels collagen. Sessions usually follow a course of 3 to 5 treatments.
