What is Potenza?

Potenza is a radiofrequency microneedling device made by Cynosure. It can run monopolar or bipolar RF at 1 or 2 MHz through needle tips of different lengths, and has a tip that delivers serums like exosomes or skin boosters into the channels it makes.

Apgujeong clinics use it for enlarged pores on the cheeks, rolling acne scars and oily, acne-prone skin, often combined with Rejuran or Juvelook in the same session.

How it works

Needles penetrate to a set depth and release RF energy at the tips, creating small heated zones that tighten pores and trigger collagen repair. Shallow settings with the acne tip target oil glands; deeper settings target scars.

How is Potenza different from Morpheus8?

Both are RF microneedling. Potenza offers monopolar and bipolar modes and a drug-delivery tip; Morpheus8 is InMode's bipolar device with deeper fat-level settings.

Does Potenza help active acne?

A dedicated acne tip at shallow depth can reduce oil gland activity. It is usually combined with medical acne care.

Can Potenza be combined with exosomes or Rejuran?

Yes, clinics often apply exosomes or inject boosters right after to use the open channels. This raises the price.

How bad is the downtime?

Expect redness for 2 to 4 days and small dots or scabs. Most people return to light activities the next day.

How many sessions for acne scars?

Usually 3 to 5 sessions about a month apart, sometimes with subcision for tethered scars.

Is Potenza safe for darker skin types?

RF does not target pigment, so it is generally safer than ablative lasers for darker skin. Strict sun care lowers the risk of temporary darkening.
