What is Tattoo Removal?
Tattoo removal in Korea mainly uses picosecond lasers such as PicoSure, PicoWay and PicoPlus, along with Q-switched lasers. Different wavelengths target different ink colors: 1064 nm for black, 532 nm for red, and 755 or 730 nm for blue and green.
Apgujeong clinics also remove semi-permanent eyebrow and eyeliner tattoos, which is a common request from visitors.
How it works
Very short laser pulses shatter ink into small particles. Immune cells carry them away over the following weeks, so the tattoo fades with each session. Professional tattoos need more sessions than amateur ones.

Tattoo Removal questions
How many sessions will my tattoo need?
Small black amateur tattoos may clear in 4 to 6 sessions; professional multicolor tattoos often need 10 or more.
Which colors are hardest to remove?
Yellow, white and some greens resist removal. Black is the easiest.
Can eyebrow tattoo be removed?
Yes, but some brow inks can darken at first. Clinics test a small area first.
Is pico laser faster than Q-switched?
Picosecond lasers usually clear ink in fewer sessions, especially lighter colors.
How much does it hurt?
It feels like hot elastic snaps. Numbing cream helps a lot.
Will a tattoo removal scar?
Scarring is uncommon with modern lasers if you do not pick the scabs. Keloid-prone skin has a higher risk.
