What is Exosome Therapy?
Exosomes are tiny vesicles released by cells that carry proteins and genetic signals. Exosome products used in Gangnam clinics are made from cultured stem cells or plant cells and are applied to the skin after it has been opened with microneedling (MTS), Potenza or a fractional laser.
Most exosome products sold to clinics in Korea are registered as cosmetics, not as injectable medicines. Good clinics apply them topically through channels made by a device, rather than injecting them.
How it works
The device creates micro-channels in the skin and the exosome serum is spread over the surface so it can penetrate. Clinics report faster calming of redness after laser and a brighter look within days.
Clinical evidence is still limited, so treat it as a recovery add-on rather than a stand-alone fix for wrinkles or scars.

Exosome Therapy questions
Are exosome injections approved in Korea?
Exosome products for skin in Korea are mostly cosmetic-grade and not approved as injectable drugs. Ask the clinic whether it is applied topically after microneedling.
Is this real stem cell treatment?
No. Exosomes are vesicles taken from cultured cell media. No living cells are placed in your skin.
Why add exosomes to laser?
Clinics use them to calm redness and support barrier recovery after laser or microneedling.
How does it compare to Rejuran?
Rejuran is a registered medical device injected into the skin with more clinical data. Exosome care is a lighter recovery treatment.
Why do prices vary so much?
Prices change with the product brand, the amount used and whether microneedling or laser is included in the package.
Can I have exosome care if I have acne?
Mild acne is usually fine, and some clinics use it for post-acne redness. Active cysts should be treated first.
