What is InMode Forma?

InMode is an Israeli company whose platform carries several handpieces. Forma uses bipolar radiofrequency with temperature monitoring to heat the skin to a set point, and FX (called mini FX for the face) combines RF with pulses that target small fat pockets.

In Korea the pair is sold as "InMode lifting". Apgujeong patients use it for jowl fat, double chin and a softer jawline, often in a course of several cheap sessions.

How it works

Forma glides over the skin while its sensors hold the surface at a chosen temperature for several minutes per zone, tightening collagen. FX delivers RF heat plus high-voltage pulses that disrupt fat cells in a small area like the under-chin.

What is the difference between Forma and FX?

Forma heats the skin to tighten it. FX targets small fat deposits such as under the chin. Most clinics combine them.

How many InMode sessions do I need?

Most people book 3 to 5 sessions about a week or two apart. A single session gives only mild change.

Does InMode FX hurt?

The FX pulses feel like a strong snap or zap under the chin. It lasts only a few minutes per area.

Is InMode the same as Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is another InMode handpiece that uses RF microneedles. Korean clinics usually mean Forma and FX when they say InMode lifting.

Why is InMode so much cheaper than Thermage?

It has no expensive single-use tip and sessions are short, so the per-session price is low. You need more sessions for a visible change.

Can InMode be done on the same day as Botox?

Many clinics do InMode first and inject afterwards, since RF heat right after injection could spread the toxin.
