What is Laser Toning?
Laser toning uses a Q-switched 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser at low energy across the whole face. It was popularized in Korea for melasma, which tends to darken with aggressive lasers. Common devices include Lutronic's Spectra and similar Q-switched systems.
Many Apgujeong clinics offer it as an entry brightening treatment, either alone or combined with Genesis or vitamin C ion care.
How it works
Nanosecond pulses at low fluence break down melanin gradually without significant heat. Passed several times over the face, it lightens pigment and gives a slight brightening effect. Results build over repeated sessions.

Laser Toning questions
How many laser toning sessions until I see a difference?
Most people notice brighter skin after 3 to 5 sessions. Melasma usually needs 10 or more.
Is laser toning the same as pico toning?
Both are low-energy toning, but laser toning uses nanosecond Q-switched pulses while pico toning uses picosecond pulses with less heat.
Can laser toning remove freckles?
It lightens them slowly. Spot treatment with a higher-energy laser removes individual freckles faster.
Can it cause white spots?
Too many sessions at short intervals can cause mottled lightening. Good clinics space sessions and adjust energy.
Can laser toning be done on the underarms or body?
Yes, some Apgujeong clinics offer body and underarm toning at a separate price.
Does laser toning hurt?
It feels like light snapping and warmth. Most people do not need numbing cream.
