What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is made by IBSA, an Italian-Swiss company. Each 2ml syringe holds 64mg of hyaluronic acid, a mix of high and low molecular weight HA that is heat-stabilised without the chemical cross-linkers used in fillers.

It is well known in Europe and the UK. In Seoul, local boosters such as Rejuran and Juvelook are far more common, so ask the clinic whether it stocks genuine IBSA Profhilo before you book.

How it works

The doctor injects small boluses at five set points on each side of the face, a pattern called BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points). The gel spreads under the skin over the next day and hydrates the tissue while supporting collagen and elastin.

It does not add contour. It improves skin firmness and glow over about 4-8 weeks.

Is Profhilo the same as a filler?

No. It spreads under the skin and does not hold a shape. It is used for skin quality, not contour.

Why only 10 injection points?

The BAP technique places 5 boluses per side where few vessels and nerves run, and the gel diffuses on its own.

Can I get Profhilo for my neck?

Yes. IBSA also makes Profhilo Structura and clinics use neck protocols, but availability in Seoul varies.

Profhilo or Rejuran?

Profhilo hydrates and firms with HA in few injections. Rejuran uses PN with many small injections and focuses on repair. Both are skin quality treatments.

Why can't you show a Seoul price?

We could not find a published Gangnam price list for genuine Profhilo during our check. Ask the clinic for a written quote with the product name.

Does Profhilo hurt?

Only 10 injections are used, so most people manage without numbing. The HA is thick, so each injection gives brief pressure.
