What is Trapezius Botox (Shoulder Botox)?

Trap Botox targets the upper trapezius, the muscle that runs from the neck to the top of the shoulder. When it is large, the neck looks short and the shoulders look raised. Korean patients often call it 'shoulder line' Botox.

Many office workers also book it for chronic tightness. It is a cosmetic and comfort treatment, not a medical treatment for neck disc problems.

How it works

The doctor marks several points along each upper trapezius and injects toxin into the muscle. As the muscle works less, it loses bulk and the neck-to-shoulder slope becomes longer and smoother.

Doses are higher than for the face, often 50-100 units per side, which is why clinics price it per 100 units.
