What is Gynecomastia Surgery?

Gynecomastia surgery (여유증 수술) treats an enlarged male chest caused by gland growth, fat or both. Price and technique depend on which type you have.

Korean clinics usually start with an ultrasound to measure gland thickness. Fatty type is treated mainly with liposuction; gland type needs excision.

How it works

Fat is suctioned through small incisions, and the firm gland behind the nipple is removed through a 1 to 1.5 cm cut at the lower edge of the areola or from the armpit. Some Korean clinics use a vacuum-assisted biopsy device (Mammotome) to remove gland through a tiny opening. A compression vest is worn afterwards.
